Field Outreach Bureau, Coimbatore organized Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme on Rashtriya Poshan Maah & Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav & COVID Awareness on 17.09.2021.

Smt. K. Maragatham, Project Officer, ICDS Tiruppur received the pamphlets from Dr. S. Vineeth, IAS, District Collector, Tiruppur
Dr. S. Vineeth, IAS, District Collector, Tiruppur handed over the saplings to Anganwadi workers as a Part of Plantation drive.
Thiru C Sivakumar, District Supervisor, DAPCU Tiruppur & Thiru Satheesh Kumar, PRO, Tiruppur District participated in the Programme.

Special Session on Prevention of AIDS & Tuberculosis & Nutrition for adolescent Girls and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
After covering from the Collectorate office, FOB Coimbatore organized a special session at Jaivabai Girls Higher Secondary School, Rayapuram, Tiruppur. Competitions were organized by NACO & TANSACS & District AIDS Prevention Control Unit, Tiruppur on HIV theme voluntary blood donation and Tuberculosis as a part of 75th year of India’s Independence Celebrations.
FOB Coimbatore joined by highlighting a special session on the theme Prevention of AIDS, Tuberculosis and Poshan Maah along with Nutrition & Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Pamphlets were distributed to the students based on Poshan Maah 2021 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Shri Mohan Kumar, Teacher from English Department participated with the other department teachers for the session.
Screening Camp & Health Camp for Breast Cancer/Cervical Cancer/Anaemia/COVID Protocol & Nutrition

FOB Coimbatore joined with Rotary Bharati & Sree Saran Medical Centre for Screening Test for 70 Women at Vrikshaa International School Campus & a special awareness session was organized for women about Anaemia, menopause stress, Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer.
Dr. Manimehalai Palanisamy, Executive Director, Obstetrician & Gynecologists highlighted Menopause stress & the preventive measures to be taken by women to avoid Anaemia and good Nutrition to prevent diseases. Breast & Cervical cancer awareness & importance of Nutrition also highlighted. She also explained the precautionary measure to be taken for Corona and covid Protocol. She received the pamphlets on Poshan Abhiyan from DD, FOB Coimbatore.
Rtn. Dr. S. Rajalaksmi, Charter President of Rotary Club of Bharati- First All women Club in the District highlighted the activities taken by Rotary Bharati for women and she thanked the FOB for organizing the special Poshan Maah Programme along with the Health Camp which was organized for women. She also requested the women to come forward and benefit from the schemes. Rotary Bharati also joined with a special Kummi dance, A folk dance of Tami Nadu along with a session.

Smt. Kareena B. Thengamam, DD, FOB Coimbatore & Shri S.R. Chandrashekaran, FPA, FOB Coimbatore highlighted the importance of Poshan Abhiyan campaign and asked the women to work together for a malnutrition free India.

An Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme was inaugurated by Smt. K. Maragatham, Project Officer, ICDS Tiruppur on 17.09.2021. She highlighted the activities of ICDS under the leadership of District Collector and she also asked that the Aanganwadi workers to take the importance of Poshan Abhiyan. She explained the COVID Protocol in detail.

Special Session on AIDS for Pregnant Women
Thiru Hariharan, District Coordinator, Poshan Abhiyan highlighted about the nutritious food and the importance of the traditional food and to get the vaccination.

Smt. P. Jayalatha, CDPO, ICDS, Tiruppur highlighted the ICDS activities in detail and she also asked everyone to get vaccinated.

Health Baby Show was conducted and prizes were distributed.

E-Mahila Haat for promoting Nutritious food items & live sessions on cooking of Nutritious food
Under the leadership of Rtn. Dr. S. Rajalaksmi, Charter President of Rotary Club of Bharati- First All women Club in the District 3203, Live Session of cooking Horse Gram Dosai, Kavuniarasi & Muzhu Uzhunnu Parappu Dosai, Roti, Adai, Moong Dal Wheat Bun, Raghi cake, Red Rice Noodle were also included in the programme. She also highlighted how the women can utilize E-Mahila Haat for promoting and marketing Nutritious food items.

A Nutrition Exhibition and cooking without fire was organized by ICDS Centre, TSK Mahaperu Hospital Campus, Tiruppur. Items like salad and juices were highlighted.

ELD Vehicle covered the following locations and highlighted our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Mission for Malnutrition free India today.
